Some people like to play music on their back deck and others are perfectly happy to sit back with a newspaper or a book. For my mind, there is nothing I would rather be looking at than the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees…makes you kind of want to sing doesn’t it? But I’m serious, except I suppose for the bees which I would rather not be looking at since it means one of my ditzy friends is probably about to start fluttering around in a panic. Actually, she’s really only afraid that it will be attracted to her Margarita and she’ll be forced to share. But if there is a hanging birdbath close to the deck, no one will notice the bees, because once the get used to you being there, a flock of bird at a birdbath can put on quite a show.

I found a bird bath hanger at Zen Garden Bonsai that is perfectly suited to hold any of a number of copper or ceramic bird bath bowls that they also have in stock. It means that not only can you keep the birds close at hand but you can also draw from a wide palate of colors and designs to perfectly compliment the scheme of your garden or your patio furniture and some of the choices are really wonderful. The only one I need to avoid is the big blue glass because it looks too much like a glass for a bathtub sized martini and then the sparrows will never get close.
